Talking About Preventing and Reversing Environmental Damage

Hello, my name is Vanessa. I would like to welcome you to my site about the environment. Growing up, I lived along a beautiful river full of jumping fish. The birds flew overhead, ready to catch their next meal in their talons. I watched as the wildlife lived in relative harmony along the riverbed. Unfortunately, as I reached my adult year, the river’s water quality and wildlife populations started to decline. Pollution was cited as the cause, which broke my heart. I will use this site to explore the way societies are damaging the world around them and propose solutions to solve this problem. Thanks.

These 3 Tips Will Make Moving Much Easier

Sarah King

When you are moving to a new home, it can be an overwhelming and stressful experience. There is a lot to think about, from hiring movers or renting a moving truck, to making sure everything is packed up, cleaning the house, and getting utilities turned off and on. Here are some tips that are going to simplify the moving process.

Two-Way Radios

An excellent tool to have for moving day is a two-way radio. Get a set of them so that you and people who are helping you move can easily communicate from anywhere. It gets very frustrating when you are constantly running around trying to find someone to ask them a question. Even cell phones can be inconvenient when someone's ringer is off, or when you need to take the time to call or text someone. It is a lot easier to just push a button and talk. If you are trying to figure out what boxes to bring out to the moving truck next, you can use the two-way radio to talk to your spouse who is in the truck organizing boxes, without having to walk out there.

Hand Trucks

If you are going to be moving furniture and boxes on your own instead of hiring a professional moving company, you definitely need hand trucks. There are different types of trucks, from those that carry boxes, to furniture dollies that can handle dressers and large appliances. These allow you to easily move large and heavy items up and down stairs, down hallways, and up the ramp in the moving truck. They can also be helpful when you want to bring out several boxes at one time, without hurting your back in the process.

Rent a Dumpster For Clean-up

Another big part of moving day is that you need to do a lot of cleaning. During this process, you will likely end up with a lot of items that need to be thrown away. Perhaps you are cleaning out your basement or attic and find piles of junk and furniture you don't want, or that your kids have been hoarding junk in their closets that now needs to be thrown away. For items that you aren't going to recycle or give to a thrift store, consider throwing them away in a dumpster. Your home trash can probably won't have room, and you don't want to leave it all in front of your house. You can rent a dumpster for as long as you need it, then have it picked up when you're done.
